The new Deaf Youth Committee of Albania had their very first General Assembly in Tirana from 23 to 24 January 2010. There were about 200
Deaf people who attended and those people were interested in the establishment of the new Albanian Deaf Youth committee.
Raffaele Cagnazzo, the former EUDY Board and Florian Gravogl, the Board of World Federation of the Deaf Youth Section, they both gave
their contribution to the management of the General Assembly, which has been successful.

The Deaf young Albanians have hope to continue to reach other social and political objectives for Albania.

With pleasure, we desire to announce that the dream of a Mediterranean Union of the Deaf Youth came true!!!
The Mediterranean Union of Deaf Youth (hereinafter referred to as “MUDY”) is composition of the countries Mediterranean. It was established in accordance with the 1st Mediterranean Meeting what held in Athens, Greece, on 6 March 2010. The delegates were from Mediterranean Countries of the European Union.

This year, the EUDY and the Committee of Young Deaf Italians (CGSI) are pleased to host our 1st EUDY Children Camp for 10- 12 years old. This is an opportunity of a lifetime, located at beautiful Sicily with a week full of various activities and fun!

This summer, the Swiss Federation of the Deaf (SGB-FSS) will host EUDY Camp for 18 to 30 years old in Lausanne from 7th to 18th July 2010!

The objective of the EUDY camp is to allow young European deaf persons to meet and to exchange ideas regarding their differences. The main theme of the conferences and the workshops has been chosen in that sense, and its title is “Building bridges between the deaf and the hearing”.

I am Elina Pokki from Finland. I am glad to say that I joined to EUDY board. I am working for Finnish Association of the Deaf (FAD) as youth secretary.
